Manchester and Cheshire Mediation are pleased to announce its participation in the government’s voucher scheme for family mediation. The £500 voucher scheme has been extended for eligible cases and is being made available for separating parties/families with children, to go towards the cost of using accredited family mediation services where there are children and financial arrangements.
The family mediation voucher scheme is time-limited and designed to support parties who may be able to resolve their family law disputes outside of court. The Government has set up the scheme in response to Covid-19 to support recovery in the family court and to encourage more people to consider mediation as a means of resolving their disputes, where appropriate regarding child arrangements. To support this, a financial contribution of up to £500 towards the costs of mediation will be provided to each family/case (if you are eligible).
Only mediators authorised by the Family Mediation Council (FMC) are taking part in the voucher scheme.
The scheme is available to mediation participants who attended a mediation information and Assessment Meeting (MIAM). These are conducted by telephone. The £500 voucher cannot be used to pay for the MIAM itself, but pays for the mediation that follows. Our mediators will explain the full details to you.
